This is one of my favorite plays, and I have enjoyed both of these actors temendously in the past. However, there's a bit of an uncomfortableness here for me as I feel that it's ultimately about the love that the dresser has for the actor. I'm all for suspending belief and going with actors in roles, but the relationship overlay in this case seems a bit odd. Certainly, it's never presented in a sexualized sense, but the implication that the dresser has put up with what he has for so long simply because he loved the actor is very strong.
Anyway, not a big problem, but still something that raises my eyebrow - a little.
