Went to see Christine Pedi sing the Best Of Comden and Green. It is an incredible show and she sings 100 Ways To Lose A Man and many other favorites. I had a great time. Pedi most known for Liza in Forbidden Broadway proved that she can sing many kinds of music and still win an audiences heart. BRAVA!

This sounds very cool - what a wonderful choice of material. Sally Mayes did a Comden & Green album a few years back that was one of my favorites. Is Pedi perfoming this again any time soon?
I am not sure will find out for you. It was a blast. Call Mama Rose's for details. Oh i love Sally Mayes. She was the only performer in Urban Cowboy that made me want to stay. Updated On: 3/22/04 at 12:24 AM
It is playing on Tuesday evening at Mama Rose's. Enjoy!Christine Pedi: Wonderful Songs An evening of Comden & Green, featuring Christine Pedi. With Matthew Ward at the piano and arrangements by Mark Nadler. "... a charming amalgamation of the entertainer's verve and talent with the oft-wicked wit of Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Pedi is a musical theater lead with the heart and soul of a comedienne, and the combination creates more effervescence then a glass of good champagne. Her almost-uncanny ability to vastly alter her personality and delivery from number to number, as easily as most singers change their key, is wondrous. Pedi has crafted a show to make you glad to be alive -- and especially to be at Mama Rose's in New York." -- Cabaret Scenes Magazine
Barry & I saw her last night. Although there were a few well-known numbers ("100 Ways..' and "If") she chose a lot of fairly obscure songs to sing (always a plus in my book). Highlights for me were her "Running Around New York" medley and a hysterical "Babette/Mary Magdalene" from ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.
She is far more than a brilliant 'impressionist' (though nobody does a better Liza...Mario Cantone doesn't come close to La Pedi). It was great to hear her sing in her OWN voice!
She's a very off-balance, quirky, and hip performer. No cookie-cutter cabaret chantooose here!
Oh yeah...her version of 'If' blows Kristin's ouuta da waddah!
