This news saddens me deeply. I have always been an enormous fan of Mr. Gray. When I was a teenager I used to go to the performance garage to see his monologues. I was mesmerized when I saw him the first time, which is why I have seen almost everything that he has done since then. As good as his monologues were filmed, it was amazing to see him in person. He had an intensity and charm that drew you into his stories and made you feel he was talking directly to you. I had tickets to go see his new work that was supposed to have been performed in Palm Beach a couple weeks after he first disappeared. The monologue dealt with the accident he had that completely changed his life, and now looks like, which led to his death.

A member of my family committed suicide 5 years ago so I can relate to what his family must be going through now. At least now they know what happened to him and can start dealing with it.

It is so sad to see such a amazing talent gone way before his time.

Rest in Peace Spaulding.

Geeze, I almost regret telling him off in the middle of Sbarro's a few years ago.

May he rest in peace.

I hate to write what has been posted already, but I have to agree that at least his family has closure. I recall reading an article in New York Magazine (I think?) about his disappearance which included an interview with his wife. Such a sad story....so much talent.
