I agree, I find it pretty straight forward. The only thing I can't seem to understand is

Squirrel is killed by a hunter (?).

I saw it twice and both times I walked out of there missing it. Other than that, easy to follow.

just saw the show for the second time and I am curious… what was changed from previews to now? Were there additional scenes? If so what was the content in them? I’m very intrigued

Squirrel and Hank’s scene primarily. It helps explain HIS initial sin- killing his classmate. I saw it again today and it finally clicked for me.

Caught the show last night and liked it. However, I was in the very last row of the balcony and I feel like I missed A LOT. I have 20/20 vision and have sat in the back for many shows, but after 90 minutes my eyes hurt from straining so bad! When I was a Broadway newbie and didn't know about rush/TDF I pretty much exclusively sat in the very last row of the balc/mezz since they were cheapest, and I never remember having an issue with any other show like I did with this, especially since I could never really tell who was talking between the 3 girls.

I looked up reviews and such afterwards and realized that I missed a lot: The red string wasn't visible at all, whatever they were doing to Hank at the end was too difficult to see, and even the single jump scare (which was pretty good) wasn't visible because of the lights. To be fair the ticket was like $40 so no big loss, but it did hinder my enjoyment of the show.

That being said, immediately walking out of the theater I couldn't tell if I liked it or not. The first hour was very suspenseful and suprisingly funny, but the whole last half hour really lost me. After reading "explanations" and thinking about it for a while I'm starting to come around and enjoy the idea, and would see another production again someday. Defintely not a show you can just walk out of and know what happened right away.

It has been reported that they had to give the critics a detailed plot synopsis and explain to them what was going on. If that is the case, I guess it’s not so easy to follow.

I’ll be in NYC Saturday. Debating on seeing this one last time or seeing my planned show (Once Upon a One More Time). Saturday will be my last chance before it closes. Hmm.. what to do

Agreed, I saw Grey House during Maslany's COVID absence and while I didn't love it Karpen was by far the best part
