As a child of the 80s, I grew up in the heyday of the original Muppet movies - The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan. I was listening to a few of the songs recently and just got lost in the brilliance of so many of them...

"Rainbow Connection".

"Movin' Right Along"

"Hey, A Movie!" (Great opening!)

"Happiness Hotel" (Absolutely hilarious)

"The First Time It Happens" (Incredibly underrated)

"Couldn't We Ride" (The bicycle scene - movie magic)

"Saying Goodbye" (will literally make you LOL one line and tear up the next)

"Together Again"

"Somebody's Getting Married/He'll Make Me Happy"

The Muppets - and their songwriters - gave us such a musical treasure chest that collectively do everything a great musical score should do -- make you laugh, make you smile, make you cry, make you think. And of course, 'Manhattan' had the Broadway theme built right into it. If you ever need a little pick-me-up, revisit these brilliant songs!
