Character/ song suggestions?

Hey all :) I find myself auditioning for a new show with the only breakdown requirement being 32 bars of  a M.T. song for a soprano and only the vague and general description of the character as a genuinely funny, smart and soulful oddball who overcomes hardships. Any ideas or suggestions of songs or even characters that I could study and pull songs from would be GREATLY appreciated as I find myself blocked. Thank you!
