I'm helping some folks from the Broadway world to sell some of their show memorabilia. The question came up about selling playbills or show posters and copywrite laws. What does the law say about selling your personal show posters or signed posters from your work on the shows?
As the owner, you can sell anything you want, legally.
Well, except your organs.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
It’s not against the law at all. I can’t even begin to count the number of people I have seen on here looking for or selling autographed playbills. Hell, even some of the postings I have seen have had the seller’s link to the time on eBay as well.
