I binge-watched Watchmen because it's free on HBO.com this weekend. It's rarely dull, and remains unpredictable much of the way. I wondered if the show really dealt adequately with the racial issues it highlights, and in particular the 1921 white riots in Tulsa. It's effective at times, especially in the first 15 minutes and in Episode 6, but there are times when it feels more like a device that teeters on the ridiculous. 

But it's a comic book series, for better and for worse, and veers all over the place. Some of it works quite well, some doesn't. But I'm glad I caught it. Regina King holds the show together and there are some fine supporting performances and interesting writing/directing choices.

I recently watched watchmen and I do not think that this movie is that bad. I know its not good as compared to other comic movies like batman and avengers but still, its good in its own way. Also, this is the first chapter. This is all about introducing the character and all. So, let's wait and expect something bigger in upcoming sequel.

The OP was talking about the TV series, not the movie. Neither of them are "first chapters" and no sequel is planned for either.
