Hi Everyone,

I could really do with your help! my background is classical and contemporary singing, and I am currently under taking preparation to do a grade in Musical theatre. My teacher is very wiling to give me suggestions but I am keen to find my own suggested repertoire first. Do you know of any female songs 1920-1940 and pre 1900 songs that portray either women overcoming difficulties or the empowerment of women. For obvious reasons in these periods I am struggling to find any so if you know of any your suggestions would be much appreciated!
