I'm not sure if this should go here or on the off-topic board so...I'll take my chances here since y'all seem to know so much....does anyone know if there are any discounts for The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center? I'd really like to see it, but the least expensive ticket is definitely out of my price range.

In my experience, no. Nutcracker is NYCB’s biggest money-maker; they even suspend their under-30 discount prices for the run.

Some people paint, some people sew, I meddle.

I went several times over the years and I think I never saw any discount other than ability to get best cheaper tickets on pre-sale. If you get a side seat in the third or fourth ring (row AA, closer to the middle) for $85, you still will get a great view. I took my daughter last year, we sat on the side of the third ring. Our seats were great, not obstructed at all and we had plenty of leg space.

Yeah...I think you can only do full price tickets for The Nutcracker. They are doing 30 under 30, but it doesn't apply to that show. Disappointing. I really wanted to see it, but I can't swing the lowest price. Ah well.
