How is she not in talks for a Best Actress nomination?!? One of the best performances I've seen this year period.

If Stenberg is not being buzzed for best actress, the Academy needs to reexamine what it is and what it stands for.
Her performance is as revealing of a titanic young talent as Chalamet's CMBYN was last year. And Russell Hornsby is heartbreaking.
The Hate U Give is a very fine movie and should be seen.
Speaking of Oscar buzz, while I was typing this the commercial for ROMA came on tv. Cuaron's already critically acclaimed movie looks like it might be amazing.
