SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR -- its time for a revival!

Bernard Slade's fantastic 2-person play SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR opened on Broadway in 1975 and had an enormously successful 3 year run.  It was adapted into a critically acclaimed 1978 film with its original Oscar winning leading lady Ellen Burstyn (opposite Alan Alda).  How has this NOT had a Broadway revival?  

For the younguns: the plot focuses on two people, married to others, who meet for a romantic tryst once a year for 20 years.  Setting is: a California seaside cottage and covers one day in February 1951, 1956, 1961, 1965, 1970, and 1975.

I'm sure many actors would jump at the chance to do this play on Broadway.
