Gotta give the VA Dems and DNC Chair Tom Perez credit for planning and executing one helluva ground game.  They took the fight to the GOP in VA county-by-county while running good candidates, didn't let the opposition escape from Trump's shadow, and told Nancy Pelosi, "we got this sis...someone will let you know if we need any help".  I highlight the last point on account of the following from Breitbart.

Political momentum can be a powerful, if fickle, force. Dems will now find it easier to recruit candidates and raise money. And even though the makeup of Congress wasn’t changed, Republicans will find themselves under much more pressure to buck Trump.

My previous post was driven by pragmatism, SouthFlorida.  At 77, Pelosi has taken enough for the team.  Yet, even she's a babe in the woods compared to Dianne Feinstein (84), John Conyers (85), Louise Slaughter (84) and Charlie Rangel (84).  You Dems must nurture new leadership.  The graying of the Dems in Congress is the elephant in the room.

The 115th Congress is among the oldest in history
