Goodman Theatre

 Hello. I am posting this message in the hope that somebody can help me. I am from London and I am planning a trip to the Goodman theatre next year. Please can anybody tell  me in which area of Chicago this is. Also can anybody recommend a good hotel that is within walking distance of this theatre? thanks in advance for your help. This will be my first trip to Chicago and any advice you can give would be gratefully received.

The Goodman is located in the heart of Chicago's Loop Theater District, in downtown Chicago. The Hotel Allegro, Renaissance and Palmer House hotels are all just a few blocks. But it's very easy to get to via public transportation, and there are many hotel options within a one-mile radius. Enjoy your time in our fair city!

My favorite hotel is The Omni on Michigan Avenue. Surrounded by the "Magnificent Mile" shops and attractions. If you join their "select guest" program (just give your email address) you will get free room wifi and coffee or tea delivered for free to your room in the morning. I stayed there last week and had a huge suite. The Omni is about an 18 minute walk to the Goodman (according to Google Maps) and .9 miles away.
