We're about a month away from when Mirvish (typically) likes to announce the next season, so... LET THE SPECULATING BEGIN!
Which tours do you want to make a stop in Toronto? Which shows do you want to have a Toronto sitdown? Which shows (or "mystery" shows) are going to be announced and then later cancelled?
I'm rather hoping for the Pippin Tour and the Phantom Tours to come through as I'm curious to see both (having seen the OBC of Pippin in NYC and Phantom in Toronto and London and am curious as to the "new" tour.)

The Mirvish 2015/2016 subscription season sounds like one of the best they’ve announced in recent years (barring the almost expected cancellations) – although what happened to Miss Saigon? Matilda is to be Canadian cast – that’s good news.
Coach Bob knew it all along: you've got to get obsessed and stay obsessed. You have to keep passing the open windows. (John Irving, The Hotel New Hampshire)
The Ed Mirvish isn't booked past January 2016, so they have an open theatre if Saigon were to happen. But it would seem like a complete misstep to not have a Saigon revival in the Princess of Wales. So who knows!
Hmm discussion in the Matilda tour thread (that's it's over budget & not selling well) makes me wonder if we will ever see a Toronto sit-down. It's such an expensive show to produce and run, I was surprised that Mirvish would even attempt it.
It could also be simply that they're acting as landlords and/or local GM, and that it's being fully produced by the original producers (Dodgers and RSC). That's much safer for Mirvish and gives them benefit of a big "anchor" show in their subscription package.
So to add to my earlier prediction, I'm now hearing that the Toronto Matilda might be the touring company sitting down here, possibly with Canadian cast additions. On the tour's website, the itinerary is only listed to next June, so it's possible. Anyone else hearing this?
With the release of all the new shows coming in the winter/spring, I noticed they have moved "A Gentelman's Guide..." to the Princess of Wales, with nothing in the Royal Alex after May 1st, and GG is starting May 25th. Any ideas what is planned for the Royal Alex?

I completely agree. Although, the Winter Garden's stage would be too small I would believe.

So as I mentioned last July and confirmed today though a publicly released audition notice…Matilda will be an extended stop of the current North American tour. Auditions for some roles are being held in Toronto. Those cast will rehearse in NYC, and join the tour in Cleveland and Boston before coming to Toronto. After the Toronto run which will end in January 2017, they will continue on the tour.
My understanding is that the show's future in Toronto depends on how it does initially. If the demand is there, the tour will leave and a Canadian company will take over.
That was on the cards a month ago. Could have changed, certainly.
