I was wondering if anyone can let me know what it was like to stage door A Raisin in the Sun. I know that Denzel Washington doesn't sign. I'm actually more interested in the women, anyway. Do Sophie Okonedo, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Anika Noni Rose come out and sign? And is it crazy?

It's insanity!!! Anika Noni Rose and Sophie Okonedo will sign, and are so sweet!! Both times I was there, Jackson did not sign--- she went right into a car--
Aniki signed and took pictures. Sophie came out for a few seconds then left. Maybe because Denzel came out. The night I was there LaTanya signed and took pictures. Once Denzel leaves most of the crowd departs. Prior to that it's a mob, but not as bad as James Franco.
Thanks, testing and artman! I'm way in the middle of the row, so I doubt I'll be able to get to the stage door before it's packed. But maybe I'll be lucky and Denzel will come and go before the women do!

Mikem, when the show gets out, only one barricade has been set up. That one is full with fans who did not see the show that night. Security does not put up the second barricade until a vast majority have exited the theatre. They constantly clear the sidewalk. When you exit, stand up against the wall (the closest to the stage door) and inch closer each minute. The minute they start putting up the second barricade, make your move. Good luck.
ArtMan, thanks for the great tip! I'll cross my fingers and hope it works!

Good luck. Be on the look out for celebrity attendees. I saw comic George Wallace, Rev Al Sharpton (who does not look very healthy) and Debbie Morgan from All My Children
