Excellent point. Maybe the producers should get together and do some sort of combo special. Seriously, that could be beneficial to both shows.

And sorry guys (except the evil headband). I just have a personal issue with this trend of almost every new play being 90 minutes or less. It speaks to me of the lack of attention spans in modern audiences. I know most if you adore it. Get in, get out, go home. But if I am paying Broadway prices, it feels to me a bit less of an experience if I'm rushed to my seat, rushed through a little play-let, and rushed out the door.

And most of these 80 or 90 minute plays are so slight that it is a wonder they got produced in the first place.

Obviously, there are exceptions. DOUBT is the one that springs instantly to my mind. That was brilliant theatre and it felt like a fully realized play in 90 fast paced minutes. I can't think of too many others that have felt like anything but lazy playwriting, although I am sure you will all dive bomb me with perfect examples of why I am incorrect.

Maybe Mothers and Sons is brilliant and will win the Tony and the Pulitzer, but I'm so weary of these lazy one acts that I'm sitting this one out for the time being.

That's just me. I hope those who attend will enjoy it.

Again guys thanks for the input. I realize no one on this board has any control on when more dates will be on sale but Ive been impressed with the "inside knowledge"of some on here or at least you guys hear more stuff than I do here in Texas. Like I said I am not a patient person,my one fault, lol I am going to keep checking Telecharge daily for awhile before I abandon this play for something else.I am seeing The Cripple of Inishmaan, Cabaret, Hedwig,Kinky Boots,If/Then,Pride Parade on Sunday,Les Mis,The Velocity of Autumn, ily Joel Concert at Madison Square Garden......it s the longest trip to date and I. excited..So I have Thursday and Sunday nights open, holdin gSunday for Casa Valentina but same issure not scheduld that far in June. " I just have a personal issue with this trend of almost every new play being 90 minutes or less."

Examples?

Going by my own recent play schedule, this "trend" doesn't ring true. Since December, I saw:
Intimacy: 2+ hours
Domesticated: 2+ hours
Watson Intelligence: 2+ hours
Small Engine Repair: 90 minutes

And the revivals are all 2+ hours, if not 3 in the case of the Shakespeares:
Twelfe Night: 3 hours
Richard III: 2+ hours
Hamlet: 2+ hours
Waiting for Godot: 2+ hours
No Man's Land: 2+ hours
Glass Menagerie: 2+ hours
Good Person of Szechuan: 2+ hours

My next play in April, All The Way, runs three hours.

So, I just don't see it.

Now t/d/b/a haterobics on here.

I personally do hate the 80min play thing, but it happens, and if it's a good play then it's a good play. Honestly, I can't recall one that I've seen that's worth a full-price ticket, but I'm sure they exist.

And I doubt this is going to be a "hot ticket" given the other celeb-driven shows on Broadway this Spring.

I sat in on an audience feed back session with Terrence McNally after a performance at Bucks County. One of the criticisms of the play was that there were some really missing bits that quite a few people thought needed to be better explained or added. I don't know how much rewriting has taken place since then, but possibly it is a little longer.
