Everything's Coming Up Roses was the voted encore which was chosen from a lotto. She then sang her chosen encore which was Invisible and she sang one last song but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

It is definitely worth seeing even if you saw Patti and Mandy. These show will be a much more intimate experience.

The seats are all so close to the stage but if you sit to the side where the band sits you might have trouble seeing but Patti makes sure to walk over to that side to sing to you.

One quick note on seating. For those who say there are no bad seats...the tables to the side of stage right are a bit rough. The lights are directly in your eyes, Patti is obscured by the guitar player, etc. But as egnarotsew notes, Patti made a distinct point of coming over in little moments and addressing lines (it felt) directly to those people who had a hard time seeing. In that, as in everything she did last night, the woman is a consummate professional. It's such a thrilling evening. She seems so relaxed and confident. And HAPPY. Others have already mentioned these songs, but for me the highlights were also "Hymn to Love" and "Pirate Jenny." The latter was one of the best versions of that song I have ever seen. Perfectly exquisite.

So that means what... $30 worth of booze? I guess I really will enjoy the show- I'll just have to resist the urge to request she do something from Sunset for an encore

They said they're waiving the $30 food/drink minimum.

What are drink prices like? I am thinking of dropping by there this evening after 10 for the Green Room.

I keep thinking of Mr. Sleepy (the front table, directly-in-front-of-Patti patron who gave huge wide-mouthed, no-hand-over yawns through every song).

He'd look her directly in the eye as she sang, yaaaaawn, yawn again, and then at the end of the number he'd actually bounce up and down as he clapped...

From where I sat, the backlights from the stage turned his yawn-spray a sparkling mid-air pink...

There's no end to the new "enhancements" audiences can come up with...

I just got back from tonight's show -- both the performance and the venue were excellent. It was about 90 minutes long, and I'd say 3/4 of the songs were highlights.

At this point, I can't even remember what Patti opened with, but in case anyone is interested, the songs I do (possibly) remember are:

- Bilbao Song
- Faraway Places
- By the Sea
- I Regret Everything, sung with a fake French accent as the comic flipside to Edith Piaf's Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien
- Medley of Water Songs, starting with a bit of Brecht/Weill's "Oh the sea is blue, so blue...." and maybe including I Cover the Waterfront.
- Pirate Jenny
- Nights on Broadway
- Weill's Black Market
- Come to the Supermarket in Old Peking
- Hymn to Love
- Travellin' Light

At some point, Patti invited onstage Jonathan Pryce, who was there with the other two cast members of The Caretaker. He sang Fly Me to the Moon, I think.

Then Patti invited Justin Bond onstage. He wanted to sing another Sinatra song, Angel Eyes, but Patti's piano player didn't know it, apparently. Someone in the audience shouted out, "Marc knows it!" And a Marc (perhaps Shaiman, though I couldn't really see) came up and accompanied Justin.

Meadowlark was the lottery encore song. Patti gagged when she saw that she had chosen it. But she nailed it, I thought.

Invisible followed, if I remember right.

She then did September Song and was called back out for the final encore, Ladies Who Lunch. She requested a martini (water or the real thing, I'm not sure), which she used as a prop and tossed out onto the audience at the end of the song.

Anyway, a wonderful evening, and I regret that I didn't buy tickets to see it again.

I, too, was at the 11pm show and found it to be amazing. Great Space!! I wish I lived in NYC, it would be a regular hang-out of mine on the weekends.

I definitely, think the late shows are going to be the most interesting one. No time restraints as to when the show has to end, and the chance for any one to drop by after their shows let out.

30 Years later, Studio 54 will be a magnet for entertainment again. If, only, the basement.

I popped in for Green Room after Patti's show on Thurs. She was still there at a table with some people just across from where I was sitting in the bar area. Nice place although the tables in front of the stage looked to be a bit cramped. I got a partial answer to my above question. It was my birthday and I got a nice little gift when Patti passed me on the stairs on the way to the reztroom and noded and smiled at me. Made my night. I won't get to see Patti but I hope to see Jackie Hoffman.

The set list must change at Patti's whim. I saw the 11 Pm show last night and there was no "Ladies Who Lunch" and no impromptu duets. The Twitter encore was "Meadowlark"

My friend just got an email that the kitchen still won't be operating on the 12th. Was the minimum waived at all performances so far, because they didn't specify in the email.

^ That's what I figured, but I wanted to make sure. Although I guess $30 would only be about 3 drinks anyway.

I believe it is sold-out for the rest of the run.

A cool thing about 54 Below is that it's designed to record live albums, so she could get recorded. I don't know her other albums, so not sure if these songs have been recorded by her before, but could be interesting.
