They did an amazing job of picking out a Young Cosette who looks like she could realistically grow up to be Amanda Seyfried. I'm against heavy flashbacks/editing for IDAD, but I hope they have one showing Fantine interact with Young Cosette.

The only song that I could see being turned into a Montage type song would be "Turning".

I hope they don't do that- it would seem repetitive after the instrumental directly after the Final Battle (The Night, I think is the official title?) where they have the opportunity to show all the dead characters on the barricade. Unless they cut that, which I would be really, really angry about; it's probably the most beautiful moment in the show after the Finale.

There were tweets when "Turning" was being filmed a few weeks ago:

@jessicaduncan91, dunno if you can say, but what is the setting for "Turning" in the movie? Where does it take place? Excited for the movie!

Jessica Duncan @jessicaduncan91
@Ryntern can't reveal too much but it's VERY cool and not like the show version in terms of staging... You'll have to wait and see!

I wonder why they didn't put Sacha Baron Cohen's name with Helena Bonham Carter? It's also kind of amusing that Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks are playing the fan favorites, but their names/characters haven't really shown up in the trailers or promo stuff. Which I guess is because they're unknowns.

Don't know if this is true, but the thinking seems to be that Eddie's and Helena's names are only on the trailer shown in the UK since they are better known there than in the US. Good question re Sacha though since he's also a Brit.

I could see that reasoning about Eddie, but ever since Harry Potter, Helena has been pretty well known in the US, too.

This is the version shown during the TONY Awards. Anyone notice a difference in audio quality, maybe different takes for some parts?

Anne's singing does sound a little bit different...

I heard that someone who was in the Tony theater audience last night said there was silence during the trailer, and then applause when it was done. Is that true?

I looked through the Tony thread and didn't see that, although I saw the mention that they played the trailer on TV...

I had seen the trailer several times on youtube (in HD) and then saw it on the big screen @ the movies...I have to say it looked and sounded even better. I had chills! If I wasn't excited before seeing that preview I for sure am now, even got my sister on board.
