The Broadway premiere of Eric Simonson's new play 'Magic/Bird', which chronicles the intertwined life stories of basketball Hall of Famers 'Larry Bird' and 'Earvin "Magic" Johnson,' has posted its closing notice.
It's final performance will be on 12th May 2012.
The show opened at the Longacre Theatre on 11th Apr 2012, following previews from 21 Mar 2012.
The production was booked until 30th Dec 2012.
The news follows the announcement of the 2012 Tony nominations in which 'Magic/Bird' received no nominations.
The show has has struggled at the box office, with last week's house capacity a poor 53%.
