Apparently, Andrew Breitbart passed away early this morning at the age of 43. I thought at first he was a "bit", but it has been confirmed by UCLA Medical and the Los Angeles Coroner. He leaves behind a wife and children.
It will be fascinating to see how the right whitewashes his tactics as they memorialize him. The guy had no scruples whatsoever. While I feel for his family's loss, I hope Shirley Sherrod continues her lawsuit against his estate.

Agreed. I actually thought it was a "bit" when first announced this morning. I wonder if his followers would appreciate a reaction to his death similar to the respect he showed Senator Kennedy.
Regardless, he leaves behind a wife and 4 kids, so I hope they have some peace. But dead at 43? Wow.
Despised the man but I feel bad for his family. They said he died of natural causes. 43 is a little you in my opinion to die of natural causes.Less than a month ago he went nuts over a group of Occupy Wall street protesters. The man was just out of control screaming at them to, "stop raping people". I'm sure there is more to the story regarding his health than is being said. I hope the press leaves it alone. Whatever his personal problems or health problems were, it is no ones business now. I know Bill Maher was friends with him and had him on show a few times. So, I bet off camera he was a Conservative you could probably talk to.Lets pray his followers show the same compassion they would show if this were Rachel Maddow or Keith Olberman.
Hope he is at peace.

Could not agree with much he said or wrote, but peace and prayers to his family. 43 is way to young to pass away let alone leave children behind)

One loon tweeted: "I read Tom Clancy. Breitbart was definitely assassinated." To which someone responded: "I read the Brothers Grimm. Breitbart was definitely eaten by a witch."
I also loved the logic of the Tweet (twit?) who said "Of course Obama is behind this. It's exactly the sort of thing he does." You can't argue with that.
BTW, would it be considered crass if, upon his death, I were to call him a "villain," a "big ass motherfucker," a "special pile of human excrement," a "prick" or a "duplicitous bastard?"
I only ask because that's what he called Ted Kennedy following his death. Link
I say we all should show him the same compassion as he showed Ted Kennedy.

No. I am better than Andrew Breitbart. I do not luxuriate in the deaths of people I don't like. It must be an awful shock to his family to lose someone so young. I wish them peace.
No, actually, I agree with you, Joe. But the right is already packaging the more egregious responses from Twitter into what they're calling "the left's response to Breitbart's death," despite that most of the tweets are from unknown users, hardly well-known pundits or power players in the Democratic party. But considering the, let's just say, indelicateness of Breitbart's trademark style, it makes them getting the vapors over a few nasty remarks on Twitter all the more precious.
I'll echo Joe's sentiments. Since he never personally attacked me, although I strongly disagree with all of his views, tactics, etc. I would never rejoice in his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

Breitbart was a horrible human being, but that doesn't diminish the loss felt by his family. And the cozy relationships among the pundits of differing philosophies only goes to show that they're no better than our politicians; they play up their 'battles', then cash in on the hysteria they foment.

It's all professional wrestling, brian. Peggy Noonan proved that shortly after Palin's nomination, when a hot mic caught her true thoughts on the selection (hint -- it sounded nothing like what she had been saying on the air). Think Ron Perlman in "Last Supper."
Someone just e-mailed me this, not that I'm interested at this story at all. Have never heard of this show.. No comment, except I guess they need jobs at FOX.
