I have always wondered if I should even consider being a stage actor. I have always loved it but the more I think about it I am not sure if I am good looking enough. I have two small acne scars on my face and one small stitch mark from surgery. In stage broadway shows, are casting directors picky about small stuff like that? Obviously there are certain "looks" they are looking for but does anyone know if you have to have atleast perfect facial features to make it? I mean they put make-up but...didn't know if there are any working actors who have small facial scars that are basically only noticed when face to face or so...I just feel like I may be wasteing my time...

Imperfections - that's why God made makeup.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

Your scars will only make you more distinctive and stand out from a crowd. I would not worry about them at all.

Nobody on Broadway has a 'perfect' face.

If you can act, sing or dance, I wouldn't worry about it. Just follow your dream...

Sorry to ruffle your feather boa. You should realize that I meant that in a nice way because I know you're very fond of Matt.

"Imperfections" add character. Plastic surgery is highly overrated. I'd make a donation to BCEFA instead.

""Imperfections" add character."

But TOO many imperfections and some people resign you to playing bit character roles and lump you into the "not dateable" category

Doesn't Hostess, the parent company of Ho-Ho's make twinkies?

Is it true that scars and scar tissue are actually stronger than skin?

Scar tissue is stronger than skin. They feel harder too. If you ever have surgery theyll tell ya to massage em with oil to get them to go down.

Opera singer Jerry Hadley is slightly cross-eyed

Actor Jeremy Irons has a lisp

Singer Jason Daniely has a slight speech impediment

It hasn't stoppee them, why should it stop you?

Plastic surgery is highly overated, an author just died from it, that shows you how risky it is, maybe there are a few cases where its warranted but a lot of it is just people not able to accept they are growing older, imho.

I have a scar, though no where on my face, and while it doesn't bother me, I know that I could never do The Full Monty... So, even though it took me years to be cool with it, it sucks that I can't wear certain clothes/costumes. My advice: Go with what you got, it makes you unique.
