When you go into an audition and it's pretty crowded and they're only letting the people auditioning sing for a bit and then you go in and sing and they let you sing your entire song and then hand you a callback sheet for a lead: would that be considered a good omen?

Absolutely. If they weren't interested in you, they wouldn't waste their time or yours calling you back, especially if there were a lot of people there auditioning.

Obviously, no one can tell you definitively, but the way you're framing the questions, it's difficult to see how it could be viewed as anything but a good omen?

I don't know about it being an omen -- lots of folks that get called back won't be cast; but it's very exciting and something worth feeling fabulous over.

Best of luck.

I auditioned for Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde with the song "Someone Like You" and it went pretty well!

You're asking the wrong question. The only concern of yours should be: did I accomplish what I set out to do today? Did I do the work well and rise to the occasion? Because if you don't think you did, the callback is sweet but irrelevant.

Really? Irrelevant? That's ridiculous. Even if the poster ISN'T 100% pleased with her audition, they saw 'something' in her they liked. By your words, you make it sound as if she has no right to even GO to the audition if she hadn't thought herselff to be wonderful.

And in THIS business, it's all about what OTHERS think of you.
