I saw the final dress for the Rock of Ages tour last night.
It was pretty sweet going to the final dress and having it be my first time seeing the show. I thought the show was actually pretty good. Apparently the guy playing Lonny for the tour is on vocal rest and they flew in Mitchell Jarvis for the week! Both the choreographer and director had a little speech before the show, it was pretty nice. Also, I spotted Lauren for the OBC on the audience.

ooooooh so is Mitchell Jarvis playing the role of Lonny for the entire week? I may have to see it sooner than I originally wanted then.

Hey. Mitch will be Lonny for four shows and then will return to Broadway as Stacee Jaxx(which he made his own). Lauren Molinda is there for her new musical which is at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. I miss her though as Regina on Broadway.

She was ON the audience? Could they breathe?

so, I was at the show tonight, and I thought I'd give my opinion. Never saw the New York production, so I can't really compare, but hell, why not give my input.

I personally thought it was a great show! Definitely had quite a blast. I didn't see any weak links in the cast as far as the acting and singing went. As I've heard before, Constantine is still great in the role. The understudy for Sheri, Angela Brydon rocked it and I thought she definitely had a great voice! Truthfully, we didn't even look at the company board when we walked in since we had seats in the balcony so we had no idea that Rebecca Faulkenberry and Patrick Lewallen were out. Still a great show nonetheless. I thought the sets, lighting and costumes were pretty great. I don't think it will be a disappointment for those who see the tour, but then again, you'll be a better judge of that than I am.

Not much of a review I guess, but just my thoughts on the tour. All in all, I had a blast!

What is wrong with this cast if they have one out on vocal rest and another gone during the first week? Hope everyone is ok, just damn.

My daughter is in the tour cast and both Rebecca and Patrick were on last night...not out. It was Patrick's first show back and it happened to be the full cast performing...no understudies.

I didn't know that. I assumed because of the vocal rest thing for Patrick and the fact that the girl who looked like sheri from where i had been sitting signed my playbill as Angela. We didn't get to see the board, so we really didn't know.
