Donna Murphy and Bernedette Peters as Ms. Lovett in Sweeney Todd Kerry Bulter as Sandy or Frenchy in Grease Kristen Chenoweth as Lizzy Curry in 110 in the Shade
"Norm Lewis as George in Sunday in the Park... (or Norm in anything!)"
I haven't heard any of SitP, but I can agree that Norm in anything would be fantastic! I'm not completely sure if he has the right range for the part of Chauvelin in The Scarlet Pimpernel, but I think he'd do a great cover of "Falcon in the Dive" or "Where's the Girl".
-Carolee Carmello as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza -Amy Spanger as Janet Van de Graaf in The Drowsy Chaperone -Mandy Gonzalez as Eva Peron in Evita -Kristin Chenoweth as Amalia Balash in She Loves Me -Anne Hathaway as Louise in Gypsy -Laura Bennti as Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins -Sutton Foster as Cathy in The Last Five Years -Elena Shaddow as Julie Jordan in Carousel -Rachel York as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes -Nikki Renee Daniels as Dorothy in The Wiz
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Nathan Lane- The Wizard of Oz- Wicked Anne Hathaway- Elphaba- Wicked OR Cathy- Last Five Years Sherie Rene Scott- Ms.Lovett- Sweeney Todd Anthony Rapp- Corny Collins- Hairspray Norbert Leo Butz- Max- The Producers (that would have been SO cool)
Even though they've both done the roles before, I'd love to see Laura Bell Bundy as June and Laura Benanti as Louise in the same production of GYPSY :)
Otherwise, I definitely second Christine Ebersole as Margaret in THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA Also, Erin Davie as Nessa Rose in WICKED Patti LuPone as Carmen (the producer) in CURTAINS Lauren Pritchard as Eponine in LES MISERABLES

brina-doll - Every time I watch the movie version of Rent and hear Adam Pascal sing the line "All your words are nice, Mimi," I think about how he would be an amazing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. I also think he would be good as Jesus in Godspell.
Kristen Bell in pretty much anything, but I think she would make a great Audrey in Little Shop, Amber in Hairspray, or Holly in Wedding Singer. And I sencond Anne Hathaway as Louise.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!"
-Kermit the frog"I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P."Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu""...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu
After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Toni Collette was supposed to replace Natasha Richardson as Sally during the run of the Roundabout revival of "Cabaret," but Equity wouldn't grant her permission to come over for it.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I never got that. Didn't she end up on Broadway about a year after that anyways? Was that after her Oscar nomination? I always thought she'd make a fierce Sally Bowles, after the WILD PARTY fiasco I doubt she'd be interested in being part of the proposed revival of the revival.

I second these, for sure! There really are a lot of great casting ideas through out the whole thread.
I also have a new idea (although I don't know how accurate it is because I really haven't heard a lot of his singing)! Raymond McLeod sounds like a Mr. Rochester to me.
