I have seen the broadway version, the tour version, and I did the MTI version this past summer. The tour version and the MTI are very different from the broadway version but definetly in a good way. In the mti version the bow music has specific little parts for a bow for each character. The beginning is designed for chorus then vlad, grinch, yertle then I believe it was bird girls then wickershams then general then jojo then kangaroo then mayor and wife then mayzie then gertrude then horton then cat. I know the last 6 are right because I left during bows to put my tail back on for my bow. If this is not the exact order im sorry but its really close. I dont agree with it but thats what is written. I played Gertrude so my favorite part which is a spoiler is when gertrude finds the clover. My favorite songs were amayzing gertrude/mayzie, biggest blame fool, havin a hunch. Also for all of you think it suck it doesn't because there was just an article on playbill how it is in the top four requests for MTI shows.

I directed the school version at my high-school two years ago. Yes, I will grant you that the show is not the best written show ever, but what made it so great for my school was the energy that everybody put out and i personally think that the show has to be done with a male cat who can think on his feet and improve as much as he wants, cast someone with a great sense of theater and then let him come up with his own stuff. And the last piece of advice i will give is i used the pit for action and put the pit on stage. It is just a really great show to put on for fun, but me personally I would much rather put on a show such as Urinetown. I keep thinking of things that I loved about our production, what I did was I put the entire cast in Black for It's Possible (McElligot's Pool) and gave them black light- neon fish that look like they came out of One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, and they wiggled them around looked really good.
