PRIMA FACIE Previews  Apr 23 2023, 01:05:26 PM

It has been a MINUTE since I've been on this forum but I had to come back after seeing PRIMA FACIE last night. I saw a screening of the West End production at my local theater last summer and made sure to get a ticket once it transferred and I'm so glad I did.

Jodie Comer was absolutely stellar ... her performance was heartbreaking, effortlessly switching between characters, accents, voices, emotions -- she was firing on ALL CYLINDERS. What a special actor. It's one t

'Sing Street' to Become Stage Musical, open at NYTW  Apr 29 2019, 04:00:35 PM

Yay, this is exciting! Awesome movie. So upset it's not on Netflix anymore--I was actually just searching for it this weekend to watch it because I hadn't seen it in a while.

BE MORE CHILL (Broadway) Previews  Feb 25 2019, 04:09:47 PM

One kid was in a tux with a red bowtie saying it was the best thing he ever saw, and that was a really sweet thing to see."

It wasn't Iain Armitage, was it? I ran into him all dressed up in a tux at The Color Purple a few years back.

Great news. I was there last night and loved it.

Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY  Oct 26 2018, 12:51:03 PM

I see your point, BroadwayConcierge!

Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY  Oct 26 2018, 11:09:48 AM

Edit: Also, I hate to say it, but I did not buy the father/daughter age relationship between Butz and Benanti. I know Benanti's age has always been a question for this role, but I never really thought about it during the performance except during the short Eliza/Alfred scenes."

Isn't Ambrose older than Benanti? Not that it really matters, but to your point. I didn't really feel any issue with it while watching. Actually, I was wondering how Butz got so old...<

Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY  Oct 25 2018, 10:52:59 AM

Jordan Catalano said: "Saw Laura last night. She was so stunning. However, I would suggest for people to maybe wait a couple weeks before going and let her warm up to the role a bit. In Act One, her accent was all over the map. It switched from cockney to Irish to (mostly) Scottish and even a bit of Spanish during one song. She just needs a little time. But other than that it was glorious. And when she comes out at the end of Act One in that dress...not even kidding - one of the most

Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY  Oct 25 2018, 10:17:36 AM

I was at last night's show and it was AMAZING. Benanti truly captured the role, and as stated above, her chemistry with Harry Hadden-Paton is great. I can't believe they only really met the first time the other day; felt like they've been on stage together for ages. However, I'm convinced HHP could have chemistry with a brick wall.

Dear Evan Hanson lottery  Aug 24 2018, 04:38:42 PM

I won in April and got standing room. Not bad at all.

Just bought my ticket for Oct. 24th...my body is ready.

Is standing room uncomfortable?  Aug 21 2018, 05:20:34 PM

I've done standing room for Dear Evan Hansen and Book of Mormon (twice) - definitely not a bad experience. You also get quickest access to the bathrooms at intermission. My feet do start hurting towards the end though. For DEH, there were girls next to me that ended up getting seats in the orchestra after intermission, so that's always a possibility.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD to Take the Lyric Theatre in 2018  Oct 18 2017, 12:34:45 PM

That was a pretty horrid experience. Just ended up doing a Thursday & Friday in July - $40 tix for the balcony. Whatever.

Period. It is a ridiculous race.every.damn.show.

I locate the bathroom on the way in so I know where I'm going, basically jump out of my seat as soon as the lights come up at inter
