I know many thought the Radio City Spring/Summer spectacular was dead when after 4 years of problems, but does anyone think MSG will official sever ties with the production due to its ties to the Wienstein company? A timeline of the problems can be found below

2014- Heart and Lights directed by in house director Linda Haberman was postponed a year a week before it started previews

2015- Now Renamed the Radio City Spring Spectacular  and directed by Warren Carlyle the heavily reworked opened to middling review and stared Derek Hough and Laura Benanti

2016- Now renamed New York Spectacular and directed by Mia Michaels and rewritten by Douglas Carter Beane and shifted from a Spring run to a Summer run

2017- Weinstien Live and MSG Entertainment announce the show is taking a year long hiatus post forcing the Rockettes to perform at the Trump inauguration announcing that the show will once again be heavily revised

2018?- Show is officially dead after it is discovered the show's main financial backer was a serial sexual predator?

Goodness I hope not. Weinstein is a pig of a man, but it would be a shame if every project he was involved with died because of the scandal.

Should probably put a question mark at the end of the title of this post.

Edit: yes

I'm friends with a few Rockettes from my Radio City tour guide days, and they are all so hardworking and gracious. I know they're well taken care of and are the stars of the Christmas show, but gee...I think they need to be used more than just around the holidays. Between the inauguration fiasco and the inconsistency of the spring/summer productions, they just deserve better.
