My husband and I saw the third preview. At intermission, the guy beside us said "I wonder how long she lived? I'm going to look it up." We asked him not to say it out loud because we didn't want to know. After a week of seeing shows with an older version of the lead character looking back (The Notebook, Water for Elephants, A Beautiful Noise, and even Tommy somewhat), we were happy this show allowed the added suspense. Trip scheduled on Sunday for Diana and Doubtfire. Bought Kimberly to replace Doubtfire this afternoon. Hotel canceled just in case since I don't care where I stay, if it actually happens.

Now that Moulin Rouge, Hadestown, and BOM will be with SeatGeek, I went to look at their website. It looks like you can only choose your row, not your individual seat. Is this true? Especially for MR, the set design makes choosing a specific seat very important.

There is a wonderful musical adaptation by Douglas Cohen which has played Off-Broadway twice. It's a cast of 4 - 5 actors and would be best be described as a dark comedy with elements of romance. There is a lovely cast recording that included Alix Korey and Adam Grupper. Because of its size, it would be ideal for a small theater company to produce. Rights are available through Concord Theatricals.

In my opinion, 11 is a little young. My daughter saw her first broadway show alone last year. She was 13. We stayed with her until they scanned her ticket. Had her stay in her seat during intermission. Picked her up as soon as it was over. However, we had a very frank discussion about what to do if someone near her did something inappropriate (be loud and even stop the show if necessary). I was able to see this yesterday. The creative team has been able to retain the wonderful things from the Broadway production and revise it into a show that is more accessible to theater companies. The smaller cast of 10 could be easily expanded, if desired. Some of the more challenging orchestrations have been changed; however, I did not notice a difference during the performance. I saw the show on Friday and was thrilled when I realized I was watching two alums of Side Show as a couple in The Cher Show. The characters Georgia Holt (Emily Skinner - Daisy '97) and John Southall (Matthew Hydzik - Buddy '14) get married. A special addition to my night.

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s creative team, theatrical licensing agent Tams-Witmark, and DC Comics have joined forces to adapt and premiere a TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) version of the 1966 musical It’s A Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman (Superman® .
President of Tams-Witmark, Sargent Aborn, states, “The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati had this wonderful idea to create a TYA version of “It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman,” Tams-Witmark and the authors of the show are excited to see the results.”
