Million Dollar Quartet vs. White Christmas  Dec 23 2012, 06:03:31 PM
Just saw the "White Christmas" tour in Buffalo a couple of weeks ago on its first night.

Horrible. Except for one of the female leads everyone was average to subaverage. Mugging. Cloying. NO chemistry between leads. Horrible pacing, sound was terrible making the dialogue difficult to hear. Monotonous choreography. Wanted to tear my eyes out. Would have left at intermission but I was with a group of co-workers and, foolishly, had not driven myself.

Seemed to be a tour group o

Patrick Wilson Interview  Oct 13 2010, 08:58:30 PM
Sabrelady! :o) (and hello to all of BWW)

I'm here! I'm here! I'm here! Momentary lapse. *beats self repeatedly*

And, it is a great interview with Patrick. I'm loving the idea of him guesting on Glee! Can we make that happen?

BTW, I've been following/stalking Patrick for seven years now...in case anyone (Namo) is counting.

New Patrick Wilson movie... Patty like you've never seen!  Mar 4 2010, 08:52:06 AM
At last we are seeing press about this project. Woo Hoo!

During the run of "All My Sons", I asked Patrick about the facial hair choice for the character (I saw a couple of photos taken during filming.) He said it was HIS idea. Having read the book ("Life Is A Strange Place"), and now seeing the trailer I think it is a perfect choice for the smarmy yet truly tender-hearted Barry Munday.

Hope it gets a distributor soon! :o)

re: Sitting next to a celebrity at a theater  Dec 18 2009, 11:17:39 PM
Poor Bill Paxton ("Big Love", "Twister", "Apollo 13" had the wildly unfortunate luck to sit right next to me at a Sunday matinee of "All My Sons" last November.

He was extraordinarily kind, good-humored and patient with me as he signed an autograph (he packs his own sharpie!) and then let me interrogate him about the upcoming season of "Big Love".

I only spoke with him before the show began and then we said a nice goodbye as we were leaving. At intermission he was talking t

Matt Stocke, Erica Hunter, and Jenifer Foote ARE on the website. In fact, Matt Stocke went on for the first time yesterday.

Matt has a great fan site, too:

safe hotel in times square?  Jan 16 2009, 08:54:52 AM
Milford Plaza isn't bad at all. An older hotel, rooms are small but mine was very clean. The staff was very helpful and I liked the little Chock-Full-Of-Nuts cafe for breakfast in the a.m.

Just a block from Times Square and many theaters. They are running a "Jolly Holiday" special right on their website. I got 2 nights for a total of $300. It was a very affordable and convenient place to stay last weekend when I saw "Gypsy" and "All My Sons."

The Belvedere is nice, too. Small

re: Goodbye, And Thank You, ALL MY SONS!  Jan 12 2009, 07:12:22 PM
Got to come in for the final show and it was so worth it. I saw it twice in November. Both times with Lizbeth Mackay in for an ailing Dianne Wiest. Lizbeth was wonderful. A very strong performe This time I got to see Dianne and was blown away. LOVED her portrayal. It was so powerful and I gained new insights into the character.

The performance was great and I was so glad to see them work so hard together one last time to give us a wonderful theater experience.
