re: Disrespect for Liza?  Dec 19 2007, 03:33:09 PM
It wasn't a made-up Perez story, he has a link to the Sweden newspaper Afton Bladet.
re: Disrespect for Liza?  Dec 19 2007, 01:56:44 PM
I love Liza too, but this would explain why there hasn't been follow-up news to her “illness”. I have been scouring the news every since the fall for something. And I saw the clip too, which has now been yanked off You tube, why did she need to be held up on stage. Even Marie Osmond gave us a little curtsey after she got up off the floor.
John Travolta's brush with Broadway  Dec 19 2007, 11:20:09 AM
Travolta was honored last week at a party thrown by Bernadette Peters and Glenn Close to toast John Travolta's star turn as Edna Turnblad in the film version of "Hairspray" - for which he just received a Golden Globe nomination. Read more here for who else was there and why the article ended with the line "Those Broadway people can be such bitches."

re: Jo Anne Worley joins wicked cast....  Dec 19 2007, 11:01:30 AM
She is funny, she doesn't take her self seriously, she's a real professional, I would love to see her in Wicked.

seriously I knew what the link was, but my posts have been deleted and I thought it was because of the links to outside sources.
HARRY RIDES 'EQUUS' TO BROADWAY  Dec 5 2007, 11:59:22 AM
Ok since my postings about Sutton Foster keep getting deleted, it must be because I am doing some copyright infringement. So I will just mention that if you read michael riedel's column in the NY Post, you can read about how the producers were thinking of having Robin Williams or Alec Baldwin play the Griffith's part, until Radcliff say he wasn't going to Broadway without Griffith.
re: Lion King 10th anniversary gala performance  Dec 2 2007, 10:00:45 AM
Before the strike, my entertainment calendar, which is provided by the photo agency, stated that everyone that was ever involved in the production was supposed to return for the celebration.
re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week  Dec 2 2007, 09:55:27 AM
My NY Times, which arrived yesterday, states 12/30. I wish it ended in Jan. I can't stand going to NYC during December with the crowds.
re: How crowded is the wait for the concert today?  Nov 30 2007, 01:05:41 PM

re: 'SWEENEY TODD the Best Pic of 2007'  Nov 30 2007, 11:30:14 AM
Do you think Patti Lupone will go to the premiere on Monday? I imagine Michael Cerveris will attend, Johnny Depp praised his performance.
re: Idina Menzel Myspace  Nov 26 2007, 11:04:37 AM
Perez Hilton had a video thank you on his site Thursday. He thanked Idina for being so trusting that she can leave her hot Taye in Hollywood for long periods because she trusts him so much.
re: what do bway actors do whent hey need to go to the bathroom?  Nov 26 2007, 11:02:29 AM
Barbara Walters recently said the key to her success is that she doesn't sweat, nor pee for up to 12 hours. (Such a class act - LOL)

re: Marie Osmond On Broadway?  Nov 9 2007, 11:46:58 PM
Who's taking care of her 80 kids?

re: Is it Common for A Director to Kiss the Stage?  Oct 30 2007, 01:09:16 AM
I wish I had worded the title differently, traditionally or ritually would have made a better dialog. Like what kinds of rituals do people do before they go on stage?
Oh well.

re: Is it Common for A Director to Kiss the Stage Manager?  Oct 29 2007, 05:41:51 PM
I imagine a lot of actors/actresses have to kiss the director to get their jobs, what's your experience?
Is it Common for A Director to Kiss the Stage?  Oct 29 2007, 02:44:06 PM
Is it common for the Playwrite or a director to kiss the stage for good luck at the start of the run of their show, as Terence McNally did when he kissed the stage of the Suzanne Roberts Stage in Philly?

re: Terrence McNally kisses the new Suzanne Roberts Stage  Oct 29 2007, 11:15:56 AM
You might not recognize the name, Suzanne Roberts, but her husband owns Comcast Cable. So basically if you have Comcast, you funded this theater.

Terrence McNally Christens the new Suzanne Roberts Stage  Oct 29 2007, 10:11:07 AM
I'm a bit tardy posting these shots of last weeks broadway stars at the opening of Philly's new theater which honored Terrence McNally. Is it common for the Playwrite or a director to kiss the stage for good luck?

re: an evening with Patti and Mandy!  Oct 27 2007, 12:43:37 PM
I saw the show Opening Night on Tuesday and thought it was terrific, especially the part which was choreographed with them in rolling chairs. That was amazing. They seemed to really enjoy that part too. I got goosebumps when she sang "Don'T Cry For Me Argentina".
I attended the after party, and only Mandy Patinkin and the band attended. One of the theater people told me that Patti was indifferent and said not to expect her at the party, peculiar he said. She's not really into talking wi
