West Side Story revival?  Sep 9 2019, 02:26:21 PM

Looking at the mailer. I count 36 photos of men. No women in this production?

Getting together before HELLO, DOLLY's last performance  Aug 25 2018, 11:50:02 PM

Did you say you ATE beets, or you HATE beets?
It was fun to meet you, Dollypop!
That was one helluva last performance.

No guest Wednesday matinee. Moore entered
the stage tossing rolls of paper towels out
to the audience.

Explain your favorite broadway show horribly.  Sep 13 2017, 12:07:51 PM

Gold digging, widowed busy-body seduces rude, narcissistic
miser while young people dance and sing.

Eliza? - My Fair Lady Revival 2018  Sep 10 2017, 08:11:18 PM

I can picture Mark Rylance as Higgins. Maybe it's the hats.

Bette Midler Hello, Dolly!  Aug 23 2017, 11:24:56 AM

I've been enjoying this thread this morning. On a whim I checked for this
Sunday. A single seat popped up - row A  center mezz for $203!!!!
It's like magic. Don't give up!

BREAKING: Disaster the Musical closing Saturday!  May 4 2016, 06:35:45 PM

I got to the box office as it opened this morning.
There were about 10 people ahead of me. I asked for
a seat close to the front and he gave me front row side aisle
for the matinee.
Laugh out loud funny - stellar cast. You'd never know Will
Swenson was a recent sub. He was hysterical. See it if
you can. Sad to see it close so abruptly.

Hamilton: More Seats idea... Brilliant or Dumb?  Mar 18 2016, 04:03:59 PM

How about King's Theatre in Brooklyn. It's so beautiful -
excellent sightlines - 3000 seats. That would be a great
opportunity for the renovation investment and the
neighborhood. Maybe a tour can make a long stop there.
According to King George it is his show, after  all.

LIVESTREAM of HAMILTON PERFORMANCES at WHITE HOUSE  Mar 14 2016, 06:12:49 PM

Yep, booted from the room where it's still happening.

The Crucible previews  Mar 7 2016, 08:31:20 PM

I won one lottery ticket for Tuesday, March 8th. However when I entered the code
and chose 1 seat, Ticketmaster would not let me buy one seat. There were 22 open seats
but they were only in pairs. I tried to call but the phone lines close at 600pm.
Even though the email says I have until 1159pm to buy my ticket, it is impossible.
Extremely frustrated.

Andrew Rannells Joining Hamilton  Oct 28 2015, 06:49:04 PM

Saw the matinee this afternoon. Rannells looks great. Same
physicality and inflections as the other 2 Georges. His accent
went in and out during What Comes Next but he'll correct that.
He's not as epic a spitter as Groff which is nice if you're sitting
near the front. So glad to see him in this role - love that goofy
twinkle in his eye that I first saw in Mormon.
The show is better than ever. Perfection.

Hamilton Box Seats  Oct 15 2015, 06:06:55 AM

I asked at the box office yesterday. The earliest date a box seat
was available is in August. He found me side orchestra seats,
row L for October 28 and row C for Feb 3. Both are Wednesday
matinees, $167.00 each.

Jackie Hoffman tweeted "River dance is taking over our theater..."
That's a pretty good source.

OTT Final Performance  Aug 31 2015, 06:33:13 PM

The online discount codes did not work through some of the show's run.
I was able to use the codes at the box office, even for the final show.
The marketing for this show has been abysmal.

Hamilton Previews  Jul 30 2015, 02:14:05 PM

Yes, that's how I feel too. Yesterday as Lin was walking to his seat
I smiled at him and he winked at me. I melted like a teenager.

The show is in such good shape. I love the constant motion.
The cast moves in and out with such synchronicity - on and off
the turntables, with or without props. The lyrics, choreography,
music and lighting all come together and like a flash the scene
changes and the narrative rapidly moves on. It's like
watching a Balanch
