I Carry Your Heart With Me is a taut, suspenseful mystery and winner of the Steinberg/Acta American Theatre Critics New Play Citation, receiving its Birmingham premiere at Terrific New Theatre. Dolores Hydock stars as Esther, a stenographer inside a top-secret Vietnam-era debriefing room whose world is upended when she encounters an airman whose story changes her life. As she records accounts of soldiers returned from the front lines, Esther finds herself in the middle of a troubling investigation. The production is directed by Michael Flowers, with original music by Henry Scott, scenic design by Gary Weatherly, and lighting design by Scott Littleton.

Terrific New Theatre Reveals 2025/2026 Programming
July 28, 2025 “The Book Club Play” will be the first production of Terrific New Theatre's 2025/2026 season in its new theatrical space. It will open August 14, as the premiere offering in what is being referred to as “2025/2026: The Full Return of TNT.” The title references TNT's mini-season of 2024/2025, which consisted of four productions. This new, full season will include six presentations: four plays, one musical, and one play with music.About the Theatre
