ASF Presents Final Performance of A CHRISTMAS STORY 12/24

The stage version of the classic Christmas comedy that made "You'll shoot your eye out" one of the most famous phrases in holiday history is coming to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Nov. 27-Dec. 24. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is located at 1 Festival Drive in Montgomery, Alabama.The movie version of Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story was released in 1983 and it has since become one of the most beloved films at holiday time. Philip Grecian has adapted the movie for the stage.A Christmas Story follows 9-year old Ralphie Parker in his mission to get an official Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. Ralphie begs his mother, teacher and even the Santa Claus at Goldblatt's Department store for the gun. In every case the response is the same, "you'll shoot your eye out." The stage version of A Christmas Story has all of the memorable comedic moments of the movie including a treasured leg lamp, a tongue stuck on a freezing pole and an embarrassing pink bunny suit.
