The original Carmen of Mérimée today lies in the shadow of that of Bizet's Opera. And yet the insolent and nerve of the subversive dandy work challenges by profound modernity of his themes but also by the innovative character of its aesthetics.

Few descriptions. No effusion on the conscience of human beings. Space, rhythm and action. Fiction embedded in a faltering real. The original story mentions, as a road movie, the black story and pounding of two criminal lovers on the run, crossing the hot lands of the Spain. Between Bonnie and Clyde and Sailor and Lula, the narrative takes us from Guadalquivir to the shores of hell.

By inspired literary impetus, Mérimée in 1845, invented the concept of the femme fatale. Carmen, the elusive Gypsy, change of role as she breathes. Witch in his time, it represents a power exacerbated the unpredictable on the conventional. It is the harmful embodiment of untamed imagination. Fantasies of the language and its derivatives, it represents that lover panned by his race will not only kill when he has finally caught him.

The infinite theatre troupe is passionate about the transposition of the romantic story in epic theatre. Dominique Serron adapted Alice of Lewis Carroll, the news of the Decameron of Boccaccio but Nabokov's Lolita and, more recently, traditional tales

the 1001 nights.

CARMEN - The real story, promises a musical dancing, removed, and taking, mixing, as usual on the boards of the infinite, a here and now troubled and illustrated stories.
