Review: Obviously SOMEBODY Cares: LAURA BENANTI: NOBODY CARES, at Baltimore Center Stage
She’s sufficiently droll as a storyteller that she invariably amuses. The audience was in the palm of her hand from the first.…
Review: THE DROWSY CHAPERONE Shows Off Stellar Talent at Laurel Mill Playhouse!
All the world is a party, and everyone is welcome to join at Laurel Mill Playhouse. While the original 2006 form of The Drowsy Chaperone may inspire cautious apprehension in the hearts of knowing theatre-goers, LMP’s mounting directed by Alex Campbell proves that Drowsy can still show off in style…
Review: KIM'S CONVENIENCE at Everyman Theatre
Kim’s Convenience, written by Ins Choi and directed by Cara Hinh is a deft comedy about a family that loves one another but doesn’t quite know how to talk to each another.…
Review: 10X10X10 PLAY FESTIVAL at Fells Point Corner Theatre Scores Tens Across the Board!
Tucked between row homes on a quiet, one-way street in Upper Fells Point lives an 18th century firehouse with a community whose heart could carry the entire city of Baltimore. No single event showcases this better than Fells Point Corner Theatre’s 10x10x10 Play Festival. This festival is not to b…
Review: MY FAVORITE SOCIOPATH at Contemporary American Theater Festival

Review: REFUGEE RHAPSODY at Contemporary American Theater Festival
Refugee Rhapsody, by Yussef El Guindi, is kind of funny. You may consider that an odd trait for a play about violence, racism, immigration and the dangerous effects of celebrity culture, but it happens to be true. In our media environment we are frequently confronted by enormities that leave us very…
Review: BEST LINE WINS at Contemporary American Theater Festival
There are a lot of good laughs there.…
Review: THE SMOKER at Contemporary American Theater Festival
In the end, this is not so much of a takedown of one specific person as of a way of being a person. To shrink down to that person’s size is to lose out on life. In this good and carefully-written play, D’Amour makes that clear.…
Review: ¡VOS! at Contemporary American Theater Festival
This play had been a powerful emotional experience, one I would have delightedly seen again, even before I’d mastered the fact pattern.…
Review: VARIATIONS ON SILENCE at Rapid Lemon Productions
Variations on silence is a collection of twelve short plays, each with it's own powerful interpretation of the chosen theme: silence.…

My Fair Lady
