Experience Saint-Saëns “Organ Symphony” (arranged for organ and brass), Gabrieli Canzon in Double Echo, and more festive brass works, featuring the Bach in Baltimore brass section and organist Bert Landman. Camille Saint-Saëns and Giovanni Gabrieli are two dynamic composers separated in time by over two hundred years. A child music prodigy, Saint-Saëns’ orchestral works pay much homage to the giants that came before him including Bach, Handel, Haydn, and Mozart. He composed his Symphony No. 3, popularly known as the “Organ Symphony,” in 1886, at the artistic peak of his career. Gabrieli’s polytonal brass works are beloved by modern brass players for their ambitious and grandiose sound. Don’t miss this vibrant concert, pulsating with music from across the ages, recreated with virtuoso brass stationed all around the performance site. This concert is co-sponsored by RBC Wealth Management. More information and tickets are available bachinbaltimore.org or 410-941-9262.
