TEATRO101 Holds Auditions for SIDE SHOW, 3/27

TEATRO101 will hold auditions for its upcoming productions of SIDE SHOW, featuring music By Henry Krieger and book & lyrics by Bill Russell, on March 27th. The production will be directed by David Gregory with music direction by Julie Parrish.

Based on the true story of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the depression era of the 1930's, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies thEm Love. Performances will be held at the Mobtown Theatre in Baltimore, Opening Thursday August 12, 2010 and running for 4 weekends until Sept 4th. All roles open, non-union, nonpay.

The audition will take place Saturday, March 27 at the Towson Center for the Arts. Registration begins 9:30AM and auditions start at 10AM. The last sign in will be accepted by 1:00PM.

Those wishing to audition should bring headshot and resume and come prepared with a musical theatre song (16 - 32 BARS) showcasing vocal range. You may be asked to sing more than one song. Bring sheet music, accompanist provided (no CDs, no acapella). Please make sure it is show appropriate. Bring all conflicts with you to fill out on the form. Rehearsals will not begin right away for most of the company.

Callbacks will be held Monday March 29, 2010 and/or Tuesday March 30, 2010 at 7:30 in the same location as auditions (Towson). You must be available for callbacks on these days in asked to come back, as casting will happen immediately. You will be informed at auditions if you need to be back for callbacks.
