Photo Flash: Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre Presents ALADDIN

The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre, the only Theatre Of its kind in the area – offering lunch matinee shows geared for children and their families – continues its 2010 Season with its spring production of Aladdin, which runs through August 8, 2010.  The 2010 Season marks the Children's Theatre's fifteenth year of bringing children's stories to life on the stage in Frederick.

Way Off Broadway's Aladdin is an exciting original musical based on the story from The Tales of the Arabian Nights.  As the show unfolds, Aladdin finds love and adventures when he meets Princess Marazade and discovers two comical genies, the Genie of the Lamp and the Genie of the Ring, who help him outwit the evil sorcerer.

Aladdin runs now – August 8, with performances every Saturday afternoon and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.  Tickets are $15 per person and may be purchased by contacting the Box office at (301) 662-6600.

The Children's Theatre is a part of the Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, which has been a leader in the region's performing arts community since it first opened in 1995. Under the direction of the Kiska Family since 2002, WOB has produced such productions as A Funny Thing . . . Forum, Guys & Dolls, Steel Magnolias, Oklahoma!, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, The Odd Couple, A Chorus Line, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Evita, and Cats, as well as the area premieres of Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, The Wedding Singer, and Mel Brooks' The Producers.  For 2010, Way Off Broadway is proud to bring productions of All Shook Up, Nunsense A-Men!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Christmas Follies: The North Pole Revue to the stage.
