The 200-voice National Christian Choir (NCC) will perform at 6 p.m. March 8 in Baker Memorial Chapel on campus. Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance.

Directed by C. Harry Causey of Sykesville, Md., the choir comprised of members of more than 100 churches will perform “Beautiful Savior,” “The Lord is My Strength and My Song,” and “We Declare Your Majesty.”

“We are thrilled to bring this program again to Westminster,” said Dr. JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, choir member whose late husband, Stan, retired from the College in 1989 as dean of the Graduate School and professor of Education.

NCC members have presented concerts throughout the Washington, D.C., area including the Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall, the National Cathedral as well as toured throughout the U.S. and in eastern Europe and Israel.

In 2006, NCC sang for the opening worship service of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas.

Choir recordings also are broadcast weekly on the program “Psalm 95,” which airs on more than 400 Christian radio stations, including Baltimore WRBS 95.1 FM, Frederick WCRH 91.7 FM and Hanover (Pa.) WRBS 107.1 FM.
