Grades 3-8 Can Now Register for Touchstone Players' MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

By: Nov. 15, 2013

The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory is excited to announce open enrollment for its winter Touchstone Players production of Much Ado About Nothing. Students entering grades 3-8 can experience what it might be like to travel back in time to the 1600s and be a part of the fun and excitement of Shakespeare's Acting Company - The King's Men. Participants will hone their acting skills, make friends, build confidence, and develop an appreciation and understanding of Shakespeare's work.

Plus, it's a "malmsey-butt" of fun!

During the rehearsal process, students will have the opportunity to:

- work one-on-one with professional actors and educators;

- learn and practice the same acting techniques Baltimore Shakespeare Factory uses in its productions;

- study Shakespeare's poetic language in ways that make it easy to understand, and learn how to use it to inform their performance; and

- bring some of Shakespeare's most famous characters to life!

Open to grades 3-8. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, January 28 from 6-8 pm and continue every Tuesday-Thursday. Performances will run Friday and Saturday, February 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm. For more information, call the Factory education line at 410-384-8906, or email wendy.meetze@theshakespearefactory.com. To enroll, register online at theshakespearefactory.com/store.
