CENTERSTAGE announces USO Thursdays, a partnership with USO of Metropolitan Washington. During select Thursday night performances of ReEntry, a portion of the proceeds from tickets will be donated to the USO, the support program for America's troops and their families in 27 countries.
USO Thursdays will be November 11 and 18, and December 2 and 9. All Thursday shows are at 7 pm. ReEntry, by Emily Ackerman and KJ Sanchez, is taken from the real-life experiences of Marines. This surprising and acclaimed new play, based on interviews with veterans and their families, probes the unvarnished, and powerfully personal, truths of those who serve and sacrifice. How do you shift seamlessly from battlefields to backyard barbecues? What is the price paid by families at home when husbands, mothers, sons, and sisters go to war?
ReEntry begins preview performances on Wednesday, November 10; celebrates Opening Night on Wednesday, November 17; and runs through Sunday, December 19. Tickets are now on sale through the Box Office, 410.332.0033, or online at www.centerstage.org. ReEntry is presented in partnership with Northrop Grumman, Stephanie and Ashton Carter, and SenovvA. The media partner is WYPR, and the community partner is the USO of Metropolitan Washington.
