Bravo Productions Presents Back to Back Shows at Randolph Road Theater in June 2014

By:

BRAVO PRODUCTIONS is about cartoon characters, fairytales and talented children in the month of June when ANNIE KIDS and INTO THE WOODS JR. grace the stage at the Randolph Road Theater. June 7 is the final class presentation with adorable Orphan Annie in a 30 minute version that makes a perfect first production for young musical theatre patrons. Directed by Laurie Levy Issembert, Choreographed by Darnell Morris and Music Directed by Laura Brady, ANNIE KIDS stars Ella Coulson as Annie with a cast of 27 other young theatre artists in grades 1-6, some taking the stage for the first time, and others with numerous credits and veterans of past BRAVO PRODUCTIONS. Miss Coulson has just been cast as Amaryllis in Rockville Musical Theatre's upcoming production of The Music Man in July.

Award-winning director/choreographer, Darnell Morris, is thrilled to reprise INTO THE WOODS, a show he presented last season at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre the following weekend, with six shows June 13-15. Morris is currently remounting Stephen

Sondheim's brilliant creation for BRAVO PRODUCTIONS where he serves as Producing Director, with a special artistic design with middle school children in mind. Morris' Ragtime last season for Kensington Arts Theatre received several WATCH Awards including Best Choreography and Best Musical. Additionally Ragtime was named Best Community Theatre Production of a Musical in DC/MD/VA on www.broadwayworld.com.

BRAVO's INTO THE WOODS Jr. features 20 individual characters with no ensemble. Several of the female roles are double cast because of the deep talent in the BRAVO community and our commitment to instruct and feature as many young artists as possible. BRAVO is delighted to welcome back Music Director, Brigitte Franklin, who was part of our team for BRAVO's inaugural, highly successful run of The Music Man Jr on the Historic Stage at Olney Theatre Center in January 2013.

The 2014-2015 season has already been announced and includes productions of Hairspray Jr. (grades 6 - high school) and Aladdin KIDS (grades 1 - 6). Sign Up Genius Links are available by logging on to the site with email bravo22bis@gmail.com.

BRAVO PRODUCTIONS is offering two complimentary fall audition workshops as well. For further information please visit www.bravoproductions.org.
