As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved. Currently headlining in New Jersey with his partner Richard and family members Dali (Jack Russell) & Gala (Schnoodle). Recently he made his Broadway debut sharing the stage with Hugh Jackman in 'Hugh Jackman on Broadway' as well as receiving the Actors' Equity Association Gypsy Spirit Award. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will soon featureTony Award Winner Rosemary Harris as 'Eleanor Swan' in the New York premiere of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, directed by Carey Perloff. The cast will include Firdous Bamji ('Nikrad Das'), Bill Buell ('Englishman'), Nick Choksi('Dilip'), Romola Garai ('Flora Crewe'), Neal Huff ('Eldon Pike'), Caroline Lagerfelt('Englishwoman'), Omar Maskati ('Nazrul'),Tim McGeever ('Resident'), Brenda Meaney('Nell'), Philip Mills ('Eric'), Ajay Naidu('Coomaraswami') Bhavesh Patel ('Anish Das'), Lee Aaron Rosen ('David Durance') and Rajeev Varma ('Rajah/Politician'). Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere co-production of The Country House, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, will begin previews Tuesday, September 9 and open Thursday, October 2 at MTC's Samuel J. Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, lead producers of Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony® Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), will soon present the upcoming first national tour. Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky Boots, In the Heights national tour), one of the Angels in the original Broadway company, will strut his stuff as Lola - something he has done to great acclaim on several occasions in New York as the Lola understudy. Steven Booth (Avenue Q, Glory Days, Dogfight) will star as shoe factory owner Charlie Price. Parker and Booth will be joined by Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Lysistrata Jones) as Lauren, Joe Coots (TV's 'Inside Amy Schumer,' Full Monty national tour) as Don, Craig Waletzko (Guys & Dolls, Young Frankenstein) as George and Grace Stockdale in her touring debut as Nicola. The upcoming Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With begins previews on August 26, 2014, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street), with an opening night set for September 28, 2014. The production will be directed by six-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Scott Ellis (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Twelve Angry Men, 1776) and will play a 19-week limited engagement. The New York Humane Society and the show's Animal Trainer, Bill Berloni just brought kittens over to the rehearsal studio for Scott and select cast members to find the right ones for the roles of the two kittens in the show. Following the 8:00pm performance, Once composer Glen Hansard, who flew in from Los Angeles after performing songs from his new album at the Hollywood Bowl, joined the cast on stage at the curtain call and BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the special event below!

The Broadway community mourns the loss of beloved actor and comedy legend Robin Williams, who passed away on Monday at age 63. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York were dimmed in his memory last night, Wednesday, August 13th, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute. Film and stage legend and two-time Tony Award winner Lauren Bacall, passed away on Tuesday morning (first reported by TMZ) at the age of 89. The legendary actress suffered a massive stroke and died at home (New York City's famous Dakota Building) according to a family member. The theatre community honored her last night in the lights of Times Square and BroadwayWorld brings you photos below.
