54 Below will present the special series The Last Five Years in Concert - with the show's recent stars Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe - from October 16 to 19 to celebrate the new cast recording from Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records. These four shows will give audiences a chance to celebrate the musical in the intimate setting of 54 Below with the critically acclaimed performances of Betsy and Adam, along with the full band reunited from this year's hit production at Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director). The composer Jason Robert Brown himself will be at the piano on October 16 -17 at 7:00 PM, with Andrew Resnick taking over on October 18-19 at 11:00 PM. The entire set of concerts will feature Gary Sieger on acoustic guitar, Randy Landau on fretless bass, Thomas Kim Carney on violin, and Summer Boggess and Mairi Dorman on cello. Ten years ago this October, they all began their New York careers as Princesses.

On October 2 & 9, two beloved Tony-nominated Broadway actresses join forces for a delectable evening of humorous reflection and harmonious song in Sin Twisters, a show with a devilish spoonerism of a title. On the streets of Manhattan and Los Angeles, these vibrant and savvy veterans of over two dozen Broadway productions, as well as countless films and television shows, are constantly being mistaken for each other, although one is at least three inches taller, and one is a blonde and the other, a redhead. Yet, during their respective careers, they have both tackled some of the same parts, including the plum role of Sally Bowles in the original Broadway production of Cabaret. Sin Twisters joyfully celebrates these similarities but also gives full voice to these two remarkable performers' differences as artists and as women. The 1980 Broadway production was directed by Robert Allan Ackerman, scenery by Santo Loquasto, costumes by Robert Wojewodski, lighting by Arden Fingerhut, and music by Stanley Silverman. The show featured Richard Gere as Max, David Marshall Grant as Rudy,James Remar as Wolf, Michael Gross as Greta, George Hall as Uncle Freddie, Bryan E. Clark as Officer, David Dukes as Horst, Ron Randell as Captain, and the Guards were Kai Wulff, Philip Kraus, and John Snyder. Check out a photo of the marquee below!

Just yesterday, September 24, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) presented the fifth annual Broadway Salutes, a celebration -- free and open to the public - which honors the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. In this industry-wide event, which was held at the Times Square Visitor Center (1560 Broadway, between 46th and 47th Streets) in the heart of the theatre district, theater professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50 years in their respective theatrical craft.
