Happy Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to everyone from these cultures, especially to those who are rocking the “status quo” and making room for themselves and others in their fields and in the world, like Teegan SinClair is.

I’ve been a student for basically my entire life. I have not always known what lay ahead for me but I always had classes and homework to keep me busy and keep me grounded. Now, however, having just graduated with my master’s degree, I took my proverbial final bow for this era of my life. In this second act, I’ll keep being a student. Live with intention. Maybe sooner rather than later, some of your plans turned into action will lead to goals being achieved and dreams coming true in ways you never expected at all.

2025, while proceeding achingly slowly and all-too-quickly all at once, is in full swing. It is proving to be a year of discovery and new opportunities. In the coming months, I am going to continue doing that work. I hope to slowly find my footing and gain more confidence. I want to continue finding my voice, both metaphorically and literally, and developing this craft which I hope to one day be able to call mine.
