One Last time from Hamilton would also be an appropriate song for this occasion as this is my final blog post.

On January 4th I began my final semester of college, which for a theatre education major, means student teaching.

Each year the Xavier Theatre program has an end of the semester/holiday party. At this party, the seniors perform a parody of the Twelve Days of Christmas that relates to the program and their experiences as a class in particular.

I hope this list helps someone give the perfect gift this holiday season!

Since I am a theatre education major, next semester I will be student teaching, so this was my last semester for shows.

I know political theatre isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I see it as a good thing. There were so many topics in what the constitution means to me that were incredibly relevant.

Halloween was not quite the same this year. With the pandemic raging on, it was hard to find safe ways to celebrate the spooky season, so when my roommate asked if I wanted to see a drive-in production of Macbeth, I was stoked.

With the weather getting colder and social distancing still in place, ita??s the perfect time for theatre fans to curl up with a warm beverage of choice and watch a musical.

I wasna??t always sure that I wanted to pursue a career in theatre. Ita??s always been a passion of mine, but ita??s a scary industry to go into.

I asked two simple, yet broad questions to a handful of different Xavier University Theatre majors. The questions are as follows: What is something you want to see more of in theatre? What is something you want to see less of in theatre?

Ita??s that time of year, universities are back in session...well some.

One of my classes of this semester was Methods of Teaching Drama, A.K.A, how to be a theatre teacher.

Devised theatre is a collaborative method of theatre-making where a script is created by an ensemble, many times through improvisatory work. 

I am just a woman who loves Tangled more than life itself, but the point of this platform is to share what I, as a college theatre major am interested in and passionate about, which is Tangled.

The theatre community is vast throughout TikTok and people find creative outlets in different forms, but one of the most common, interesting, and beneficial things I have seen is auditioning for TikTok musicals.

I am a senior Theatre Education Major with a minor in Digital Media attending Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Not only is Xavier about an hour from my family, the ideal distance, but it has a Theatre Education program, which many other universities do not offer.
