Hedgerow Theatre continues its holiday tradition with its 20th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, which runs from December 6 to 24. The adaptation by award-winning playwright Nagle Jackson is faithful to Dickens' classic tale of the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable, selfish miser whose heart is transformed after he is visited by a series of spirits on Christmas Eve.

Stellar Productions held a staged reading of Bob Bartlett's 'Whales' this weekend directed by Stewart F. Lane. The script has been a finalist in several play writing festivals including Baltimore Playwriting Festival, Catholic University, Kendeda Playwriting Festival, and Seven Devils Playwriting Conference. The cast included Ian Biesinger, Rob Pedini, Kathy Curtis, Bonnie Comley, David Mangiamele, and Alyssa Renzi.

THERE IS NO MRS. SANTA CLAUS!, with words and music by Michael E. Dansicker (BMI), will receive its West Coast premiere with The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. The 275-member ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Timothy Seelig, will feature the song in their annual Santa Concert at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on Thursday, December 6 at 8 pm.

This delightful retelling of A Christmas Carol, a favorite holiday classic about the transformation from greed to generosity, embraces the true holiday spirit of kindness and goodwill. The script, adapted by Becky Mayo who also directs the production, retains the charm and mystery of the original story and also Dickens' familiar language.

Last seen on Hartford's TheaterWorks stage in 2005, this hysterically funny holiday classic will be directed by Rob Ruggiero. Jeff Kready (Broadway's Billy Elliot and Goodspeed's Carousel) stars as Crumpet, the sardonic Yuletide elf.

The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) announced today that Colorado artist Colette Pitcher is the recipient of the 2012/2013 People's Choice Award for her bronze sculpture, "Bee My Honey."
