This December 31, 2012, on the 40th anniversary of The Poseidon Adventure, Camp Midnight and the Music Box Theatre resuscitate New Year's Eve on the S.S. Poseidon, a campy celebration set against the backdrop of the seminal disaster movie.

Wilmington Theatre Company is thrilled to bring its debut production of Overruled to the Old Red Lion Theatre in January 2013. The three short comedies, 'How He Lied to Her Husband,' 'Overruled,' and 'Village Wooing,' will be directed by Polina Kalinina (Assistant Director, The Seagull, Southwark Playhouse; Dutchman, Orange Tree). Wilmington Theatre was set up in 2012 by two LAMDA graduates, Lucy Hough and Leo Wyndham.

Hedgerow Theatre continues its holiday tradition with its 20th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, which runs from December 6 to 24. The adaptation by award-winning playwright Nagle Jackson is faithful to Dickens' classic tale of the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable, selfish miser whose heart is transformed after he is visited by a series of spirits on Christmas Eve.

Stellar Productions held a staged reading of Bob Bartlett's 'Whales' this weekend directed by Stewart F. Lane. The script has been a finalist in several play writing festivals including Baltimore Playwriting Festival, Catholic University, Kendeda Playwriting Festival, and Seven Devils Playwriting Conference. The cast included Ian Biesinger, Rob Pedini, Kathy Curtis, Bonnie Comley, David Mangiamele, and Alyssa Renzi.

THERE IS NO MRS. SANTA CLAUS!, with words and music by Michael E. Dansicker (BMI), will receive its West Coast premiere with The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. The 275-member ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Timothy Seelig, will feature the song in their annual Santa Concert at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on Thursday, December 6 at 8 pm.
