The Bonstelle Theatre will open an adaptation by Tyler J. Monroe of one of Hans Christian Andersen's most popular fairytales, The Snow Queen, just in time for the holiday season. It runs from November 30 to December 9, 2012. This classic children's fairytale is a holiday treat, and the Bonstelle Theatre's production will include a preshow craft activity with cast members for children starting 45 minutes prior to curtain time.

Iceland's Vesturport Theatre and Reykjavik City Theatre's latest production, Faust: A Love Story, comes to the US as part of the BAM 30th Next Wave Festival. Faust: A Love Story is a darkly humorous, circus-inspired reimagining of the classic Faustian tale of an all-consuming desire and a second chance at life in search of love.

The Alley Theatre will present David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries on the Neuhaus Stage. This is the last holiday season that the Alley Theatre will produce this show, directed by David Cromer, who won the MacArthur Genius Award and Obie Award for Best Director. Alley Artist Todd Waite reprises his role as 'Crumpet the Elf' in the outlandish--and true--chronicles of David Sedaris' experience as a worker in Macy's SantaLand display.

Furthermore, area residents are encouraged to drop off their undistributed Halloween candy to the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office now until Friday, November 16th. All candy collected will be sent to troops serving our country. The Paper Mill Playhouse Lobby is now open to area residents, noon until 5:00pm, seven-days-a-week to charge electronic devices.

Trap Door Theatre is a proud participant in the international reading scheme for 2012 OBIE Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich's new play Spark. The script-reading scheme has been developed to honor US war veterans, to shed light on the plight of female veterans in particular, and to raise increased awareness for their stories by presenting multiple free readings across the United States and abroad during the month of November.
